This will be our first “full” in-person meeting since the adoption of our new bylaws, which were just one significant outcome of the considerable commitment and work of everyone involved in the rebuilding process (led by the phenomenal and indomitable. 

We have some exciting plans underway, including a move away from a Call for Proposals into something new. Read on to learn more!

Why an INVITATION?

Because a call for proposals can sometimes feel like you need a fully refined idea or polished proposal.  While we welcome those, we want to invite you to share your rough ideas, needs (what could move you forward, get you unstuck, give you energy), and how you want to participate.

We are imagining a meeting where we can explore unfamiliar ideas, alternative paths, and deep questions—where there is space to learn, build skills, seek help, collaborate, and facilitate. Together, we’ll take time to engage with critical issues, unfamiliar places, and with people working differently towards similar goals. Alongside meaningful work, we’ll hold space for play and activities that bring us peace, joy, and connection.

Channel that feeling into inspiration!

Our program-building process will be intentionally collaborative and iterative. We’ll start by sharing a framework and will invite you to share what you need, what you have to offer, and how you’d like to contribute. After we review your initial contributions, we’ll share our evolving program and invite you to “plug-in” to sessions and activities where you feel inspired or see a need.

We hope you will JOIN IN the process of co-creating our program, and JOIN US in San Diego to (re)connect with each other, with SWS, with our work.

You will be able to apply for the 2026 membership year beginning in September and submit your ideas for the 2026 Winter Meeting.
