The Department of Sociology and School of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor with research and teaching interests in the societal aspects of sexual violence. Job duties for faculty positions include research, teaching, and service. Ph.D. in Sociology or Social Work, with a specialization in sexual violence research is required. Candidates should have a deep knowledge of research on sexual violence and a research program on sexual assault, sexual harassment, sex trafficking, violence against sexual minorities, or gender-based violence.

The deadline for assuring full consideration is October 1, 2019; however, positions will remain open and applications may be considered until the position is filled. This faculty position is part of the University of Wisconsin's Cluster Hiring Initiative. Two additional searches concern the psychological aspects of sexual violence and policy approaches to sexual violence.
